H & B Railroad Company, Inc. was established in 1965 to service the rail construction and maintenance needs for the Hampton Roads of the Virginia area. H & B is a full service railroad construction and maintenance company located in Carrollton, Virginia.

In 1983, H & B was at a transition.  With the retirement of the railroad manager, the remaining stockholders had to decide either to close the company or bring someone in to expand and develop the company.

The owners opted to bring in the new management team of Daniel Moore and Charles Lawrence, the present President and Vice President and current owners who will oversee the expansion and development of the company.

Under their control, H & B Railroad has become one of the major railroad and crane rail construction and maintenance companies on the East Coast.
